Introducing the creator of "World Rock Reggae Hip 'Hope' Sci-Fi Folk Music London Style" world citizen
BABAR LUCK
Peace & Justice is a Mustice
Born in Pakistan and moving to London at the age of 8, Babar Luck is one of the most refreshing and unique lyricists & performers around today.
"I flew into the wonderful west with my single mother & older brother around 1977, just as the King of Rock and Roll Elvis Presley was seen to pass away. That's one of the first things I ever saw on a tv screen in the wonderful west... E.P. - I felt like E.T."
A boy who sought solace in the world and sounds of music, Babar Luck is now a man with guitar in hand, on a mission for the greater good of people and planet - regardless of religion, skin tone or life circumstance.
"I remember at primary school, I was the only brown boy and there was only one brown girl - even the teachers used to make fun of us. In comprehensive school, our school was the only one in the area who had people of all colours, with white students being the majority. Every day you'd hear the cries 'Get the Pakis, get the Pakis!' It was absolutely insane."
A notable soloist with a great love of all peoples, Babar performs around the globe, moving beyond tolerance limits in terms of humanity & musical genres. His straight from the heart style & REALness captures audiences & takes them on a journey into a world of visions, dreams and hopes for peace, love and unity, proper.
"For me, it's about celebrating diversity & to me, the greatest force for unity is music! I say I'm a first-rate songwriter, second-rate singer, third-rate rapper & fourth-rate comedian, but I've built my spaceship & I'm boldy going where no Pakistani has gone before."
Babar Luck has recorded & performed live with numerous artists from a plethora of 'genres' & continues to create wild beautiful music with an array of players from all walks of life. Babar has also shared musical performance at many festivals of various 'genres' including Transmusicale Festival in France, Beautiful Days Festival in the UK & Denmark's massive Roskilde Festival.
2010 saw Babar Luck accepting an invitation to perform at the much acclaimed TEDx conference series, held for the first time in Istanbul, Turkey with the theme "The Limits of Tolerance", festival appearances in Belgium & Switzerland and extensive touring throughout the UK.
As well as performing as a solo artist, Babar is currently sharing his heARTcore musical works in variety of other formations. Babar returns to his rock'n'roll electric roots with his band East End Trinity , shares his 'sci-fi' folk music via The Babar Luck World Citizen Folk Band , has recently released a debut CD via a new multicultural project with Italian MC Boika Esteban called Remaking Europe & has just finished recording a collection of new musical works with his new outfit The Babar Luck Experience.
